Cat Replacement Pipe for 172

According to Need for Speeds web site a Cat Replacement pipe is available for the Clio 98 on. Says 16v - £72 for S/S one.

Anyone got a Cat Replacement pipe on their 172?

its one peice so you cant really replace the pipe. A whole system will replace the cats though.

just get that.

OMP has one, but you may need to buy the full system, they dont sell the De-cat pipe alone

Ive got a Magnex system from the cat back with a telescopic front section.

Are you saying that I need to buy a complete new system or is there something I can get that replaces the cats ??

I remember reading somewhere that the cat for the 172 is so efficient that removing it would only have minimal improvements in power.

I remember some lads in Portugal had removed the cats about this time last year and saw an extra 3 or 4 BHP when car was put back on rollers. Not much I suppose but the noise if you like that sort of thing is nice !

I removed my kat long time ago... only I dont own a clio sport 172hp. damn

I dont know how much horse power was gain, but I felt the car was slightly smooth and more quik when full throttle to the red line.
Now I can reach the 180km/h mark without a problem...

Is it wise to change the whole exhaust from the manifold to the back end for inox tube? the sound will be more metallic instead of the OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH kind?

Primma supply a CAT replacement pipe for 95stg. Ordered one for my 172, phase 1. mine only has one sensor so its fine, apparently they cant supply one if your cat has 2 sensors going in.

Where do you check to see how many sensors there are?
