CAT REPLACEMENT PIPE

I have just bought a brand new Clio 172, and im interested in fitting a Cat replacement pipe.
Anyone done this mod ?
Any probs ?
Any connections on the Cat ?
Anything else I should know please?
Where do i get one from ?

Devil do a CAT replacement pipe for the 172 (Demon Tweeks sell Devil 01978 664466)

Ring Hillpower see it they do one as its a straight through pipe and will make the car sound a bit more meaty.
As lets face it the standard exhaust noise is a little quite.

Steve, How do you slove the sensor problem? I know someone who decated the 172 and the idle was jumppy, really jumppy!

unless the sensor is on the cat then it shouldnt.
the lamda sensor should be before the cat and so long as its not damaged when fitting the replacement pipe it should be fine.

But the sensor is AFTER the cat, what now?

same thing should be ok so long as its not damaged when fitting the new pipe.

Be carefull with the cats as well. When I rang up parts @ a Renault dealer they wanted over £800 for new cats - was just enquiring to see what they cost new.
