CAT, What year has to have it?

Iv got an earily 1992 plate clio 1.8 16v and im dying to take the cat of, but do I have to have it for the M.O.T what year onwards has to have a CAT?

31st July 92 was the cut off point 3.5% your allowed before that date. After that date its the manurfactures guides but the accepted one is 0.5 at idle and 0.3 at fast idle (2.5~3k)

Cheers, my mates clio 92 plate had no cat and went like excriment of a shouvel myne seems so much slower.

And it doesn't mean you have to have one after that date, just means you have to take the stricter tests as Edde said. Of course you'll probably need one to pass, but if you could pass without one that's fine.
