CD changer not working?! Any ideas?

Recently bought an early 2002 172.

I noticed the other day when cleaning it has a CD changer under the PAS. seat, good news I thought..... But its not working!

I assume they use the same fuse as the Headunit? which is OK
Also checked the plug at the back of the headunit & under the seat.. OK

No idea what else it could be!??

I cant even get the cd casette part to eject, as if theres no power.

I got the same problem

Mine gave up working when i tried to eject it with the engine turned off. It tried to work, then stopped after a few buzzing noises...

Never have got round to trying to fix it

I think its a fairly common problem.

Would love to get it sorted but I have no idea what it could be!!!???

Hopefully someone on here can shed some light on it!

Is there a seperate fuse some where on the cd changer as I know head units came with a little 5 or 10amp fuse in the back of those? Maybe worth a look to see if the cd player has one.....

Ok thanks mate.
Did have a look around the back of the cd changer but its a pig to get out so looked as best as I could ...
