CD player in Cup

Very strange - yesterday it went on strike for a while, and after a few hours started working again. Any ideas?

what did the display say when it faulted?

Nothing - it was reading the cd, just no sound was coming out! Radio worked fine.

it didnt say error cd or give a beep through the speakers did it?

nope. The usual display came up, but no noise... nothing, nad, zip

Loose speaker connection on the back?

Maybe but the radio worked fine.
