CD Player not working!

I've been to see a 172 Cup, and during my thorough checks at the dealership :approve: I popped a CD in the CD Player to check it worked ... It didn't!

Its the standard renault player, in an '03 172 Cup.

It takes the CD, then says load for a few seconds, then goes back onto radio! Pressing source cycles through but CD doesnt come up! The CD ejects fine, and the radio works ok.

The strange thing is there's no error message coming up, or any beeping of any sort!

Anyone got any suggestions? I really like this clio, but if I buy it i'm not looking forward to the hours drive home with no tunes!

Any ideas anyone?

Also, my girlfriend has an 03 Expression, and we took her cd player out and upgraded it. Would that one work in mine? We've got the code and everything for it.

I'll be upgrading mine soon, but really need a temporary fix!

common fault. temperature inside vehicle drops below zero and the stereos go inop. if covered by warranty then renault will change it. if not get a cheap one
