central locking key keeps going out of sync

Hi i have a 1.2 mk2 clio the key flashes everytime i press the button so dnt think its the battery in the key but it works for random lengths of time usually a few hours and then i have to do the syncing thing where you hold the lock button for 5 secs then press key button. Anyone have an idea of why its doing this.

Its been a while lol. Anyway, clio is still doing it. If i buy a cat1 toad alarm will it replace all the renault central locking and immobiliser stuff so i can use the fob from the toad alarm to lock the doors etc.

yeah, it will. i had a clifford on my old clio and the renault immobiliser still worked, but was programmed with the clifford fob
