Central Locking palying up

Hi All,

I hope someone can help.

I have a 53 plate 172 and just recently noticed that the drivers door does not lock when using either the remote or the interior locking button.

I'm about to try a few things like resetting but can anyone suggest anything that may help?

The passenger door and boot are fine but as there is no keyhole on the drivers side the door is permanantly unlocked and someone may try to steal my roadmap (or worse)!

The electric windows work fine.

Got it sorted, think ir was a loose wire somewhere.

That door panel is a right b'stard to get off though. Thanks for listening.

I have a Clio 98 1.2..... My car started out like that by not locking - now it locks but when it unlocks makes an extremely loud screeching noise sort of thing....

I would get it soretd before it gets that far cause its quite embarrassing when your in the middle of a car park haha :clown:

Any ideas - probs the central locking motor?
