Can you get it to work without the use of the remote key on a 172/182? I want to lock the car and leave the bonnet open, but not arm the alarm.

If you use the passenger side lock, it just locks the passnger side.

I know about turing the ignition on and off so you can leave the windows open, but the open bonnet still sets the alarm off.

Fudge the switch on the bonnet so it thinks its closed all the time.
