  Valver Lookalike Mk1 Ph3
What's the best thing to use to remove the centre caps from you alloys, using a key/screwdriver can cause scrathes if you fk up.

valver centre caps are £30.00 each from renault & they are plastic now !!

Feck know what wheels the dude has, I think he's done a runner !

Lmao, yep I jumped into bed ;).

They're Wolfrace Ikons, plastic centre caps with a little raise bit - but as I said, using a key/screwdriver can damage the alloy.

Take the wheel off, then push it from the other side - that way you can give as much force as you like without damaging the surface of the cap.

And how do you plan to get the wheel off without removing the centre cap !

Top 10 all time dumbest answer right there! Gonna be kicking yourself about that one lol.

But the question still remains, is there a tool to do this job?

Ali

  V6, Trackhawk, GTS
jus jus a screwdrive wrap it in a cloth and use it then, it's no different from taking a side repeater off...

Well on a V6 like 137699 and I drive it's very simple. You undo the wheel bolts and then you take the wheel off, and then you push the cover from the other side.

Not all of us have wheels that have "centre caps" across the bolts ... just across the centre hub hole.

Assumption is the mother of all ... arsey comments :dapprove:

lol as somebody has just said on some wheels i.e. williams wheels, the centre cap doesn't go over the bolts:rolleyes:

Sorry didn't realise it was a cap covering the nuts. On my Vee the centre cap covers just the centre spindle. So not such a dumb-ass answer after all guys.
