Centre console: V6 into 172

My mate who works at a crash repair centre has just been on the phone to tell me a written off V6 Clio has just been brought in this minute

This might be a daft question but would a V6 centre console fit a 172 mk 1 ??? Looking at pictures they look pretty much the same.

Has anyone tried it ??? reckon it could be modified to fit ???

cant think why youd want to tbh? Its just crappy plastic same as all the others.

I dont think it would fit.

The gear stick sits higher in the Vee iirc.

Yeah ive been in contact with this company but its going to mean a fair bit of messing about cos A they dont speak english and B the postings gonna cost a bomb !!

im gonna give them ago if this option dosent seem to work.
