I dont think they would just dont know wether to get a cf bonnet as some time in the future i might get itb's or shall i just save the £££ an get the itbs at a later date?
ah i'm with you now. Depends what you're looking for really. If the Cf bonnet is just for effect then vinyl wrap would be a better/cheaper option. If it's weight, the fibreglass ones would be better, but you would have to get it sprayed I would imagine. Saying that, I think the CF bonnets are partly fibre glass anyway, so weight wise there probably isn't much in it really.
You would be suprised how much difference in weight they are really. The ali bonnets on the PH1 are very very light imo. So fibre glass would be lighter still. All depends on how deap the pockets are, and whether you could get some ITB's second hand for cheap.
think i might just do what you said keep the normal bonnet an wrap it, i have seen some of the cf bonnets peel and its a b**ch to fix but just wrapped ill be better off.
Cheers, least some can make sense of my babblings. Time to have words about the other thing now.
Just to give you an idea... ph1 standard bonnet without sound deadening was 12.5kg. ph1 ali bonnet with sound deadening fitted still was 7.2kg. Ali bonnet feels noticably lighter when handling compared to standard bonnet
I dont know how much the sound deading weighs as I havent taken it off the ali bonnet which is fitted to my car yet. Does anybody know?
