Has anyone re-wired the change gear light on the speedo clocks and put it on to the dash somewhere more visable? Like and external light or similar?
I've yet to actually see my light (or warning depending on who you ask) come on even when I bounced the poor thing off the limiter.
On another note, this topic intrigued me so a did a bit of searching which led me to these instructions on how to place it externally :

It's the Czech CS but just let Google translate do it's thing and it actually looks quite easy to do.
Personally I fear it might pikey the car up a bit unless done
very neatly (don't be sticking s**t in your A pillar) but I'd be interested to see results if anybody were to have stab at it. I'm no electrical engineer but maybe even I'll have a go at it and post a guide (in English) - I have a spare dash lying about. :rasp:
Edit: the more I read about it, the more it looks like a "dude, you should have changed by now..." light.
Easier way to get a visible shift light would be to get a cheap Android phone, buy Torque, buy an OBD2 bluetooth reader, buy the Racing Meter plug in, then configure it.
