Changing a door.

Im thinking of buying a identical door to mine off a member off here, But im wondering what would be involved in changing the door?

Im buying the door because mine has a few small dents and and a small scratch so this should be slightly cheaper to do.

Ive had the door cards off to dynamat the doors and change the handles over, So i think im fairly capable but just wondering if its hard to switch the window glass over and if the wiring is easy to transfer?

Thanks

Na, the window glass is easy to take off. Clip at the centre bottom and one half way up on the side closest to the door handle. Then it should come free and just slide up and out (at an angle). Helps if you take the top seal off aswell.
Just remember to be careful when putting it back in because of the curvature of it.

Electrics are simple aswell, just requires a lot of patience and fiddly, all self explanitory though.

Is it posible to replace a door without it looking like its been replaced (panels + curves lined up etc)?

if theyre the same as the earlier clios, the window surrounds have metal inside which are a complete nightmare to take out without damaging them. bend them slightly and you need new ones or theyll look crap and rippled

if you fit it properly the door wont look like its been changed, although even if its the same colour code, the colour may still be slightly off, so many things can change that. might look alright with a good polish.

but those window seals are a nightmare
