Changing a standard 182 into a 182 with cup pack

I was just reading the post about the standard 182 up for sale that isn't cup-packed. What's the cost and time involved to change the suspension etc? And more importantly, is it worth it?

It’s really not worth it.

Unless you specifically want to run the Sachs dampers from a Trophy there’s a much better selection available for the 54mm hubs.

The 182 cup pack included different hubs so you would need to source those second hand. You could however fit the 172 cup dampers which are a firmer rate for not too much. We sell them discounted here. You will need a set of springs too - best off looking at Eibach Sportline for the nearest match if you dont want too much lowering

The other change was the offset of the wheels due to the difference in hub.
I've never stuck the two hubs into cad though to analyse changes to scrub radius and kingpin angle to say whether there was an improvement.
