Came off a slip road in 2nd gear onto motorway last night and got an urge to to put my foot down (seen as the motorway was empty). any how i floored it and let it go all the way down to the limiter (so the gear change led lit up). as i was about to change into 3rd the car started to slow down as if i had taken my foot off the accelerator, however i hadnt?
is this a safty feature to stop people killing the engine or should it not have done this?
the car seems to be running fine and has never done that in the past... but to be honest ive never took the car into the red before?
