Changing Gearbox Mount on a 172??

Hi,

Got a knocking noise on my 172 and think it may be the gearbox mount, I've done the Dog Bone and it's not helped. How hard is it to do the gearbox mount as I've had all the others checked and been told they're fine? A brief run through of how to do it would be brilliant!!!!

quick guide for u m8... (god this is taking me back... i always remember stupid s**t)




Remove battery
Air box
ecu bracket
ecu / battery tray
U will then see the mount... there is 3/4 bolts on the fingers to the box.
1 big 16mm bolt over the rubber mount
2x 13mm bolts to the side of that

Support the box on a jack and a block of wood

Undo all the bolts
U may have to wack the big bolt in the middle with a hammer as it gets stuck

Then put the new mount in... Bolt all the bits back up... (The 2 13mm bolts either side of the big mount are locked by the heads under it)

Re fit

All housings, ecu, batt, filter... you’re done
