Changing Steering Wheel Help

  RB 182 cup,astra sri
Just about to change my steering wheel. looking for advice on how to do this.

firstly, is the front of the steering wheel just a cover. ie the bit with the renult badge on it. If so, does this mean i can just pull it off before trying to get the airbag and wheel off?

cheers

noooo dont pull it,first of all d/c the battery leave it for 30mins then put the wheel at 90 degrees and there should be 2 bolts on the back of the wheel iirc, undo these then you can remove the airbag carefully,d/c the airbag cable, then you can undo the wheel itself

i cant see bolts at the bac of the wheel. there are clips if thats what you mean. so the front of the wheel with the badge on it is part of the whole airba unit?

it is screwed mate... couldnt possibly be clipped.. think of the forces. You just cant see the screw but they are down two tunnels either side.

wheel must be turned to the side normally for you to see them so make sure your doing that and like ad says down the tunnels

i have checked the steering wheel i am putting on which is the same as the one im taking off. there are no holes for screws to be placed. only what looks like something that it clips into. it is metal which would explain the force issue. i will get pics mate.
