cheap fun??

im after a cheap run about until september when i hopefully purchase my 172, want something a bit nippy that i can rally not worrying about knocking it, want it to be a bit reliable as i dont want to put money in it.
my ideas, civic vtec around f plate, 106 xsi, crx, around £500 it will be thrashed and beaten so looks aernt overly important but dont want a fiat panda say something a bit mean looking.

205 GTi, 106 XSi, Mk2 Golf GTi, AX GT, usual suspects. You should be able to find plenty for £500, just look beyond cosmetic damage!
