Girlfriend is at uni and her Laptop has finally given up on her so she needs to buy a new one.

Can anyone recommend me one for around £300? She can go a bit more but £300 is a benchmark.

She's not a heavy user so doesn't require anything too powerful.

15"+ Screen size (She uses it to watch catch up tv/DVDs on
Good quality screen and speakers for the above reason
500gb+ storage
Less bulky the better as she carries it about a lot.
No stupid colours.

Anyone able to help as I'm useless with Technology :(

Cheers
Andy.

PM Phuzion , see what he has got. Much better than spending £300 on something to do the exact same job. Search his past threads.

Or keep your eye on the Dell outlet page it all comes with a 12 month warranty. It updates daily i think?

For example theres a couple of 15" Inspiron at the time of this post around the £350 mark. Core i7, Corei5 etc.

Can anyone direct link me to a decent £300-350 laptop.... I'm useless and she'd like to pop in somewhere and pick one up probably this weekend.

All the numbers and codes are generally lost on me.

If you are going into store to purchase then theres no point asking on here. PC Worlds website for example will list a lot more laptops than your local store will have on display so what we link might not even be relevant.

Just buy smart, prioritise CPU as this cannot be upgraded and get the best available within your budget.
