Cheap Printer!

  Civic Vtec y0
Looking for a new printer as my old one has seen better days!

Not too fussed about colour quailty as most of the stuff i print is Black and White.

Any recommendations?

Cheers

Ryan

I must admit, I tend to use the original Epson ink.. :)

£30 I think for a set now.. not the cheapest, but it's good stuff. (I've never tried anything else tho!)

The Epson is good because it can print directly onto printable CD-R's/DVD's, which is what I used mine for mainly.

You get a CD guide..

You get printable CD-R's (or DVD's) like these: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/58765

You burn what you want to the CD, place it on the Epson CD Guide, use the Epson Print CD software to create what you want on the label (images, text etc..) and print. It feeds the CD and prints onto it perfectly :D

It's a piece of plastic which holds a CD and feeds into an Epson printer.

I think they call it a CD guide, as it guide's the CD in properly :)

yer daz i have to admit for photo`s etc epson ink is spot on , on that printer works out around 30-35p a page on decent quality. we have one at work its great, just a shame when u use non epson cartridges the colour n drops slightly.

also the epson cartridge ink doesnt fade after time , compared to lexmarks and cheap ink

Yup. The R200 (which I had) was about £72 to fill when it first came out - as each cartridge was £12 each.. and there are 6.

Epson then released a refill pack at £30-£40, so much better..

I'm looking at getting the R220 now.. as the R200 was great.. and, as I said, I mainly used it for CD printing.
