Cheap? - Sony Bravia 50" LCD TV

Erm... is it just me or is this really cheap when you consider the price of LCD TVs? I can get 10% discount on this too!

Am I missing something? Are there any features that I really couldn't live without cos if not I'm going to buy one!

Well it says in the specs that it's not 'flat screen' and by that I'd take it to mean flat panel like a TFT monitor. Most tv screens (especially that price) have a flat screen anyway be them be flat panel or normal style.

It is a rear projection also the actual display bit isnt flat its slightly curved.

Judging by what the specs on the site say. then again judging by those specs on the site dunno how trustworthy they may be considering says it doesnt have a remote control either.

Best just going into someplace and looking at one.

Cant buy a tv without first looking at the picture on it anyways just doesnt make sense to me.

its one of Sony's new versions of the rear projection tv's.

great quality and the bes thing is... the bulb is replaceable! which is the main problem with old rear projections...

Was going to say, it's cheap because it's not a true LCD tv, it's an LCD rear projection one. Seen them close up, gotta say not really impressive
