Cheapest servers ect for Newsgroups

Wanting to move away from torrents and start with newsgroups.

I'm with Giganews, think I'm on a Platinum account.

Do a search in Tech Chat on Giganews and Newsgroups. I think .Griff. did a great thread on it, so also search for threads started by him.

I thought this at first but in actual fact I don't notice much difference with Giganews or Newsdemon in terms of service but giganews is much more exensive

I moved from Giganews to Newshosting a couple of months ago and have been very happy with the service. It worked out cheaper too.

Supernews, which is a Giganews reseller (apparently). I pay £6 per month for unlimited downloads and 30 connections.

My 50Mb VM Broadband maxes out nicely.

Yeah, I think I trialled it a while back. Cant really remember what is was like lol.

Tried that, didn't really like it tbh. Didn't seem to hold the speed very well.

i use newsleecher which i think is superior. has full extract/repair/extra par d/l capabilities aswell. running on 64bit win 7

Use nzb get installed on a nas to pull the files down then just manually unrar and par if need be. Don't download much at all so isn't much hassle to just do it myself, can't be arsed to set it up to do it all automatically.
