cheapest way to have a bullet camera incar setup

basically i want to get rid of camcorder and use a bullet camera and solid state recorder, whats the best and cheapest way to do this?

i got a bullet camera....needed 12v from the battery and phono connector wiring to it, the phono lead plugs into my camcorder into the AV IN, then i just hit record. not all camcorders have av in though unfortunately. getting a camera with av in is probably cheaper than a solid state recorder...

If he is using solid state why would he need a camcorder? Surely he could just connect that directly to his PC/Mac via firewire and pull the content from there?

the thread is named - "CHEAPEST" way to have a bullet..... - so i said solid state devices are usually alot more expensive than camcorders with av in....hence why i said it in my post

120 aint too bad....i paid 30 quid for a canon mini dv camcorder with av input just because i was doing it as a bit of fun

Small child + cine camera+ selotape.....is the easiest way.....bonnet or wing mount....depending on effect required.

Foxy where did you get your stuff from? i have a camcorder but i think it only has av out? how do i tell ?

find the manual for it on the net and itl tell you what connections it has, and ebay
