Superchipped mine - noticeable increase in torque, so it really pulls very well especially around 4-4500 rpm. No change of redline, but find myself driving with the torque rather than power, if you know what I mean, ie I rarely go beyond 6000rpm. Rsport one seems most favoured though, and the one with decent bhp gains and a higher rev limitQuote: Originally posted by edde on 04 October 2004
The gains are minimal from chipping a standard engine in my view. There isnt much you can do to a N/A engine regards chipping to get more power.
You can go with a few options though first is a custom add on chip ie SMT6/7 which is made for your cars engine (each engine is unique) which is £500.
Then there is Chip wizards who charge £350 and increase the redline to 8k as well as the normal tunning.
Otherwise there is the R-Sport ECU which gives the 8k redline but isnt custom made so wont get max power for £220 I think.
Apart from that there is superchip who charge £250 I think not sure of the gains though or of a change or redline.
Is this the second version software Ive heard that SUperchip have anothe rmore recient map for more power and more revs?Quote: Originally posted by Gary Brown on 05 October 2004
