OK, Ive limited myself to 3 choices (I think) for spending £200-250 on a new headunit. The ones Im looking at are:
Kenwood KDC-WV6027 £185 http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3034http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3034
Clarion DXZ-748RMP £234 http://www.clarionworld.co.uk/stock/dxz748rmp.asphttp://www.clarionworld.co.uk/stock/dxz748rmp.asp
Pioneer DEH-P77MP £240 http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2381http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2381
1/ Buying the Kenwood would allow me to buy speakers sooner (would have to wait and save up for longer if I bought one of the others).
2/ The Kenwood and Clarion can match illumination colour perfectly to the Clio dash - the Pioneer wont. I think the Pioneer illumination might stick out (as a member here experienced).
3/ The Clarion doesnt have an adaptor available to retain stalk controls.
4/ The Pioneer looks like a good buy considering its spec for the money. And its a great design IMO.
So, should I:
a) buy the Kenwood - save money, have a headunit that matches the dash?
b) buy the Clarion - loose stalk controls but have a matching headunit that sounds great?
or, c) buy the Pioneer - dont worry about it matching in, be skint for a while but have an excellent headunit?
