I knew it wouldn't be long before i was back in a Renault Sport. Managed ,after a bit of searching and driving some truly terrible examples, to pick up this Black Megane R26. Its had all the correct history at all the correct times and has some very nice upgrades like the Single mass flywheel conversion with helix clutch, Full Miltek turbo back exhaust and a full turbo gobble gobble noise making Blanking plate. Purchased as a toy really, after selling the Petrol Blue and driving a Jaguar XF ever since iv become quite bored and wanted something to work on and take spirited drives in. No real long term plans for it other than taking the tints off and adding the R26 Decals back on. In my eyes it just looks like a standard 225 at the moment. Needs a little work here and there to sort out some questionable handling characteristics and also thinking about having the exhaust mapped in along with the air filter to enjoy a little increase in power.

Iv got no real photos as iv been enjoying driving it too much Here are some from the Advert.

And today i swapped over the broken Number plate lights

Going to be ordering the new Decals at the tail end of this month as well as removing the Tints and then its off to one of the Local specialists to check the car over

Got the tints off today. Came off fairly easy and used traffic film remover and a Stanley blade to get rid of the Glue. Looks much better. Also put the order in for the R26 Decals and a new RS badge.

interested to see what the quality is like of the jestorcreations decals are like, a few people said they was not very good, i did buy a set of stickers for the keycard and the peeled straight away, there was a polish bloke who done really good copies but hes vanished

Its just a more Powerful, heavier Clio really. Im loving it so far. Will be great to get the small bits sorted and give it a good drive. Planning on a trackday come October.

@oss should be able to machine you one out! I used to get them done at work by the machine shop guys.

The stickers turned up... And the quality is alright but not what im looking for. They were also damaged in transit so got my money back and now have the correct size templates to use. Have already emailed a local sign writer to see if he can make a copy of them.

The cars been booked in with Ktec to give it a good look over. Strangely the EML light went out the other day and am now noticing a slight increase in oil consumption ! Can't see that there connected but will get everything checked out. Still no luck on a R26r spoiler or short shifter, but have been eyeing up a Zero Point One shifter

Had last weekend to myself so gave the car a good wash and waxed it.

And also got hold of a R26r Spoiler and the Machined short shifter

The car should really be coming together in the next couple of Months, I really want it ready for a Trackday in October.

Some very very old Dodo Juice Hard Wax. Cant remember the actual name of it as all the labels peeled of years ago !

while fitting the short shifter, its a good time to check the white bush on the actuator. it can make the gear changes feel stiff.

drill the bush with a 10mm drill bit and give the bust a coat of grease

The shape, size and colour are spot on but they are more sticker than vinyl. Very thin and don't look like they would hold up to much. Also the F1 stickers were speerate and not printed on the decals.
