I thought I'd show some up to date pics of my cup before it goes undercover for the winter!
Im slowly getting into to detailing, this is the first proper clean I've given it, the car was covered is CL brake dust and after the F1 a while back it needed at good old clean! It's by no means perfect though!
I didn't take pics of the whole cleaning process and some of the pics are terrible, finished ones are ok tho!
That s at the F1, stuck in the mud big time, also managed to loose half my splitter which I'm gutted about as its the original one that's lasted nearly 10 yrs!!
My cleaning process went along the lines of:
Wash Car - wash mitt - megs gold class shampoo
Remove tar - AG tar remover
Remove Iron - Iron X (this is quality stuff, made my carbon lorraine brake dust covered car disappear
Rinse and make sure all iron x removed
Claybar – chemical guys clay block and luber, easier to use for me as a novice
Rinse
Polish – AG super resin polish
Cleanse – Dodo Juice - Lime Prime
Glaze - Chemical Guys - EZ Glaze with Acrylic Shine II
Sealant – AG extra gloss protection
Wax - 2 x coats of Chemical Guys XXX Hardcore Paste Wax
After some help from the lads in the detailing section, I realised some steps were mixed up and they gave me some good tips on other products to use next time so cheers to them!
Now the pics...
Iron x doing its thing...
And then a before and after of the door shuts after iron x had worked its magic!!
Before...
And after...
I haven't got any pics of the rest of the cleaning process so here's some afters! And some pics of the interior which is nearly finished, just a few finishing touches, should be able to sort these before it gets taxed again next year!
Hope you like...
Interior pics
Seats and cage
Dash and centre console
Door cards and handle spacers
And now for the saddest pics :-(
So that's it For 6 months! Gutted it's off the road now!
Im not really an active user on here but looking forward to getting to meet some of you at the meets next year!!
