Cleaned this today (exige s content)

So yesterday I got a text off a mate asking if I'd be able to clean his dad's car for him, as one of the very long serving members from the lotus car club has sadly passed away and they have asked his dad to lead the hearse in his exige s.

It's been around a year since I have gave a car the full works so I was slightly rusty to start with but I was very happy with the outcome and so was the cars owner. Unfortunately I didn't get any before pics as I just wanted to crack on and get the car finished..

Usual products used i4d snow foam, af lather, iron x, oblitarate, polished with triple then sealed using tough coat, tyres dressed with megs endurance.

Anyways finished iPhone pics..

And of course once it's done it goes back into the garage under the dust cover until it gets used later in the week.

hahaha! That's there for a reason I didn't know until yesterday.. When he got the car he peeled the stickers off and one took the lacquer off the top of the bonnet so the stripe is hiding that ha

In the last photo where its under the cover makes me laugh at just how small a car they really are when you see it parked in a modern garage which normally wouldn't fit anything in.

yeah they are really small! My back and legs are aching today off bending down. It's seriously low aswel, I found myself sitting on the floor polishing it more than standing up.

0-60 is easy.

30-100 and 50-80 is very disappointing in them. They are over 900kg and only 210bhp. They aren't rocket ships.

not blistering quick.. they are still 220bhp and later in 2010 260 as standard. 220 is quick enough to match a ferrari 360 to 100. At which point the exige has 50kg of downforce for the twisty stuff. What you want is a s**t load of in gear torque, something the new exige addresses.

Still a decent piece of kit.
