Cleaning 172 lights

can the front plastic bit (the part u see) be removed to be scrubbed clean, inside and out?

why would you want to clean the inside? if its leaked then shouldnt it be changed under warranty?

they arent sealed units so im gussing paddy has dust in behind the front of the lense

watch out Paddy they are polycarbonate - they will scratch, gently does it

but dont worry - scratches will polish out with a few tubes of Autosol and about a months worth of elbow grease!!

Just buy some new ones - I bet there only a couple of quid knowing reno

one of mine was going to be replaced by warranty, and Renault said to remove the light would require the complete removal of the front bumper. So I dont think its a good idea P4DDY.

Check out http://www.iauto.co.uk , and look under the Motorcycle Care section. You should see something called S100 - Paintwork and Plastic Polish. This can be used on plastic headlight lenses. Watch out for the P&P on that site. Its 7 quid no matter what you order I think.

I am going to get some for my headlights too, they dont seem quite so clear as they used to be. This stuff was recommended by someone on http://www.autopia.orgwww.autopia.org (car detailing site)

Mcguires do a plastic glass polish which is good for all plastics and lights and back windwcreens of convertibles...this stuff would polish up the headlight plastics brilliantly...going to buy some to try
