cleaning alcantara beading with a razor

Car  A sexy one
iv heard people say you can get rid of the beading onthe sport seats with a razor, has anyone done this before?

Yep, did it just before CSS. Came up a treat, just be careful as I may have taken a slight nick out of the leather. Oops.

That was with a razor btw, not sandpaper.

Done both my seats when I bought it and again before css.

11 year old seats aswell.

JML Bobble Off. Little electric shaver for fabric bobbles. Works a treat and is pretty much totally safe unless you're Basil Fawlty.

Is it pretty good?

Razor blade takes time due to being very careful!

See this is why I'm amazed didn't do any serious damage, as by the time got to the second seat, I was just going at it like DK at an all you can eat.

Even works well on fragile cashmere jumpers and stuff as featured in those naff in-store videos!

Just an electric razor for fabric bobbles basically. Totally harmless and far less risky than a razor as the blades are shielded.

So, you can actually "shave" your alcantara seats?

hmmmmmm.

My drivers' seat definately needs some attention, but I thought it would just just wear through to the padding

Yep, just shave it like you would your face.

A little jug of water to clean to razor off, then a little towel to dry the blade a bit before going at the seat again.
