Cleaning panel filters?

I know you can get cleaning kits but is there a way to just do it yourself? Im sure I read on an old forum that someone just lobbed it in the sink and cleaned it with water then reoiled it, but what oil do you use if it isnt the stuff that came with it?

yep! just use washing up liquid and reoil. Any brand oil is fine (piper kn green etc) all the same stuff really

And its totally save for filter ? ?

Wouldn't fancy doing it in sink though :S

Take it GT85/WD40 is not safe to use then?
