Cleaning throttle body question.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of giving the throttle body of my 172 cup a good cleaning this weekend. I've searched through the guides and have a rough idea of what I'm doing. My question however is once I've cleaned the thing (I'll gonna use carb cleaner) does it need any additional oiling/lubrication? Surely cleaning it would dry everything out, no? Or is the carb cleaner kind of lubricated anyway? :S

if you are useing carb cleaner then thats all you will need mate. i did mine on my cup a few months ago along with the crank sensor as i had the airbox out at the same time...

have to say it did run really nice after on tick over wasnt lumpy.

any reason why you are cleaning it mate...

you're right to think it will get dried out. It's a good idea to put a light spray of lube on the ends of the spindle
