Clear Up A Lowering Question

Hey guys, just to clear up something, im thinking of geting 40mm springs for my 172, but my brother seems to think if i replace the springs on the standard 172 shocks, he says it will fail the mot, because when they jack up the car, the springs will be all loose?

(in otherwords, there 2 short for the shocks that are on there)

just wondering if this is true?

as ive heard lots of people talk about just fitting springs

obv i know it would be better to get whole kit but just thinking of the cheaper option atm

if the rear do it then its a Fail..

on 40mm springs thy wont fall out. i had 90mm custom springs on the back and they still passed 2 mot's so you will be fine mate
