Clicking clutch pedal...clio 200

Just collected my clio 200 a couple of days ago from the dealer a noticed a clicking sound when coming off the clutch. Anyone got any ideas or is this a common issue? Haven't had a chance to get down and look at it yet.

Mine did it too from new, think it's to do with the switch which senses if you have the clutch pedal depressed and allows you to start the car/cuts off the cruise control. I just ignored it.

Picked the car up on Monday, only 12k on the clock so still pretty brand new too.

On another note, I noticed a clicking type sound from outside the car coming back from my lunch earlier...seemed to speed up as the car moved faster, but also did it when the car was free wheeling, any ideas?

Good man, will give that a check because just before hand I actually went over a stoney area! LOL, thanks, that would have bugged me so will have a look as I wasn't sure if the noise was there before or not. Will let you know

Indeed! You'll probably find if you figure out what point it clicks at the car won't start when it's above that point, should confirm that's what it is.

Turn the music up with most noises in a 200 and hope for the best tbh.

Yeah it's the switch. I don't notice it anymore.

It's 100% the clutch pedal switch and its a problem on all Clio III's

Take it out, spray it with some silicon spray, work it a few times, reset it (as you would a brake pedal switch and then refit it

Thanks Mick, will give that a go as it is pretty irritating even with music on at a decent volume I can hear the clicking...

The wife's tCe does it to and she lives with it but it twists my tits. I even sent it back under warranty once and they tried to fob it off as "normal"

Now I seem to use a tin of spray every year keeping it at bay.

Without opening another thread I have another question/possible fault. In my 200 the passenger window has the automatic up and down function using 2 clicks of the window button. But on the drivers side window it only seems to have an auto down function and not back up, I only feel 1 click on the pull up. Is this normal or should it also have an auto up function like the passenger side? I don't know anyone else with a 200 so need your advice.
