Clifford Concept 600 help :(

Car  Revo Stage 1 Leon FR
Just had the police turn out (again) because my car alarm keeps going off at random times.. i only bought the car on thursday, and by friday night it was going off constantly.

Does anyone have any suggestions? There is a sticker in the window for the people who fitted it but they have been closed over the weekend... I'm assuming it's some kind of faulty sensor or something, would they be likely to replace or charge me for a new alarm ?

Thanks in advance !!!

Has it got dual proximity (motion) sensors?

The sensitivity could be set too high for it

you got the valet code?
the led should flash to show which sensor is being triggered once the alarm has been deactivated.
once you determine what sensor is causing the problem use the valet code to disable that sensor.

I will have to check the codes next time it goes off, at 2.30am i just wanted to turn the bloody thing off and hope the police didn't try and tow my car away !

Thanks for your help so far !

If you can prove you own the car (insurance & tax documents) they can't touch it.

They will know anyway by running a check on your plate

clifford alarms are pish!! as with most snazzy dazzy aftermarket car alarms

i had the all singing dancing concept 600 with remote start too fitted on my old saxo...absolute pain in the arse it was, waaaay to sensitive...not just me either..I dont know of a single person with a fancy alarm who has been happy with it :)

nothing wrong with the standard cat1 renault alarm IMHO, the money on the clifford could have bought a top spec tracker system

I think the best way around this is going to be to use the remote locking on the key instead of the clifford fob... because the clifford immobiliser is still active even if the alarm isn't set.

Seems to be fine so far..

thanks for everybody's help!!!!

Get it looked at mate, no point having the features of your clifford if they aren't working properly :(
