Tried to race me off the lights through a dual carrigewayed Industrial Estate by me, he started in front of me but when the way was clear i undertook him when we got to about sixty i was past him

as far as im aware the only 1.2 16vs that get close to the clio are the punto sporting, and they have got the beating of us because of the gearing

the old spec 1.2 16v punto sportings had 86bhp, TwinCam 16v engine...........hmmm, new ones have 80bhp wi 6 gears i believe. the old punto sporting 1.6 8v...........could just pull away from me on the motorway at about 85-110, and i was one person up on him!!!

trust me, 3 of my mates have punto sportings (V, W and Y reg)

ll of them had the beating of me til the exhaust and filter went on, now i can just about beat them

I was thinking of getting one of those 86bhp Puntos as its a very good ouput for a 1.2 but my mates one made a lot of dodgy noises and overall quality was poor so i backed out.

i liked them! Fiat twin cams.......hmmm, lovely. never fancied the 1.6 8v tho

The 1.2 16V Punto is quick, i race my best mate all the time, but he wins in a straight line, but the handling is shockingly bad, and the brakes!!!!!! Youd be better off putting you foot out the door, and stopping it!!!!!!
