Hi all, need your help if possible.
This problem started couple of days ago. From cold, the car is very 'lumpy', the exhaust splutters and there seems like a smell of petrol from the engine bay when the bonnet is lifted. Worse of all is the lag on acceleration. Seems like the car needs to 'catch up' when the accelerator pedal is pressed.
I've had the car in to a garage and he ran the diagnosic and said that no electrical fault was found. He changed the plugs and charged me £60. Seemed to be running fine when I left the garage because the engine was running hot.
Still the same problem.
I might take it to a renault dealer. Any suggestions in the meantime would be great. Thanks!
