Clio 1.2 8v

I have a 1999 Clio RN 1.2 8v and want to get as much performance out of it as possible. I was hoping to meet these specs:

110MPH, 0-60, under 10 seconds, 80 BHP

Is it possible? Cause if not ill go for an engine swap.

Well, mines a 1.2 8v too, and I would say a 0 - 60 below 10seconds will take a lot of work.

ive got a 1.2 8valve too, she can do 115 no problem. Ive had all her ports etc reground and polished tuned up, etc etc by a mate who used to work as a mechanic for the btcc vauxhall team. Ive got a forced air induction kit what he made too for me. Admitedly she is the worlds fastest car, but im more than happy with what i have got!! too many police in leicestershire to go fast!!!

No they still do a 8v version

aye - although mine is a 1.4 - its a 99 model and 8 valve.

there is not much in the way of tuning products for the 8 valve engine.

eg for the 8 valve saxo there is a k&n 57i kit. NO kit for the clio.

same with green - they do not offer an induction kit for the 8v model either

nosh clio - do you have any pics of this custom forced air induction kit??

If you want more power go for a GT turbo conversion or RSi engine!

In a New car? Dont think they do a conversion for the Mk2 yet.

i got the 1.2 8v too. no point wid conversion, but if u do-try a fiat 500 conversion, shud make it go faster

i fink our littel 1.2s r slighty faster than the olde fiat 500s!

turbo technics i think used 2 do a turbo kit but it is now discontinued cos i e-mailed em, mailto:b@stards">b@stards

Mk2 Clios, I dunno if they do a conversion yet.
