clio 1.2 mk 2 subframe

i have just brought a mk2 phase 1 clio (1998) as my first car but it had been in an accident and now needs the front end re-doing:dapprove: so far i have managed to find most the parts i need the only problem is getting the right suframe i have found alot of mk1 subframes but cant seem to find a mk2 subframe near me and as i cant drive it i cannot go and pick it up so it needs to be local to cambridge . i was wondering if anyone can help me and tell me if a mk1 subframe will fit my car to replace my current damaged one OR any scrapyards in the cambridgsire area that may have one for a reasonable price.
so far the car cost me £50 (from Relatives ) which is why i brought it lol and i have had quotes for a subframe for about £40
(also i need new wings lol they are kinda messed up...damn plastic )

welcome to cs. why dont you go for the one for £40. sounds like an ok price to me.

because i have to take it out of one car, take mine out and put the one out of the sourced car in. alot of hassel to find out it doesnt fit i dont have much time to do it because in the week i go to college and at the weekend i work but if i knew it would go then i would go for it on the mk1 the front was a bit different as it didnt have some peg type things coming down and at the back it did't have a large plate (V shaped). alot of time to do it i want to be driving by the 31st of january lol

yep, with the, imo, ugly boot shape lol

has to be a mk2 subframe, they're all the same apart from the RS subframe which has 2 extra holes in it (but will fit fine)

Mk2 phase 2 2001-2004 and Mk2 phase 1 1998-2001 are the same as Fred says

All Mk2 ones are intefrchnagable.

After a certain date they became a similar part number even (excpet for the 172/182 ones and the Cup which is completly different).
