Well my mk2 Clio 1.4 16v has been developing a fault recently.
It's done it 3 times now in last few months.
Basically you'll turn it over to start and it will turn over 3-4 times then cut out.
The first time it done this I thought it might have been a dodgy battery so replaced it. Worked fine for a while then 2 weeks ago it did it again but fired up after about 10th time one morning.
Anyway it did it again this morning and it wouldn't start so I disconnected battery then reconnected and it started on 2nd attempt.
Been and done a couple of short trips this afternoon and its started first time each time.
Surely the immobiliser must keep cutting in.
I've read there has been faults with these in past but does anyone know a solution. I've heard you can do a bypass trick is that correct?
