Hi,

Does anyone know if the F4R730 and the F4R736 have the same valves/cambelt set/rockers/waterpump?:approve:

Are you asking if 172 and 182 engines use the same internals/belts? If so, yes

Hi thanks for the reply,
what im thinking is that the 730 comes out of a ph1 172 and the 736 is ph2 172,
are the internal parts the same which i think they are?
Are the cambelt sets the same? this im really not sure.

They are pretty much identical engines so I would assume the cambelt would be the same. Hopefully one of the traders will confirm. All internals are the same (cams I think are) iirc

ph1 172 head is different.

As is ph2 172 and 182 differ from each other.

ph1 has different ports iirc? slightly larger exhaust ones?

also i believe ph2 172 and 182 heads differ and the inlet manifolds are not switchable one way beacuse of something to do with the oil breather hole?

I think thats right anyway

As above, ph1 172 has much larger exhaust ports. Also think pulley setup is slightly different.

They all say F4R730,

I have asked on the Renault forum they say the main internal parts of the block are the same and that the external parts are the ones that differ which gives you the different code!! not sure now?

Basic blocks and internals are the same, cam profile is also the same as are the water pumps. The timing belts are the same BUT the idlers ARE different between the Ph1 and Ph2.
