Clio 172 gritty clutch pedal after hard driving?

  Ph1 Clio 172 Cup AU
I had my Phase I Clio 172 on track last weekend, I ended a session with my clutch pedal feeling gritty in the middle of the pedal travel, and it sounded creaky when operated. I drove the car home with no problems and the grittyness seemed to go away by the next day, but when the car gets warm I do notice a difference in the feel of the clutch.

I'm not on expert on how the system works, but does this use any part of the braking system fluid - could there be air in the system? Or is this an issue with the cable and it needs to be lubricated/replaced?

Cable needs lubed, best to remove it and lube it up, easier than doing it fitted, something I need to do also now you've remembered me 🫣

Are you talking about removing the whole cable and lubing it outside the car? What would you use to lube it?

Brakes not related as clutch is cable and not hydraulic.

As above try lubing the cable, cable might be worn etc. Its a common issue on them, mine used to creak when hot. I personally think it was something to do with the clutch pressure plate
