clio 172 known problems

hi im interested in buying one of these is there any known problems i should be aware of or look out for when viewing a vehcile.

there's a back issue of evo magazine listing all of the faults

rear wheel bearings
exhaust
engine mounts

etc etc

Look out for cambelt change due at 72k or 5 years

5hr job and around £600 from a Renault dealer

yeah defo make sure cambelt is done mate a heavy cost to you if not ...as mentioned above the drive shaft go quite quickly on these babies and they do use alot of oil so make sure engine is in good nick overall....steering also gets very worn very easily and it will cost nearly 300 from renault for a new one without airbag..oucccccccchhh but other than that they are quite reliable and overall the basics are easy to repair...also look for the exhaust mate the standard system are pretty shite and they cost alot to replace around 300 for a full system
