clio 182 aftermarket stereo

hi

i have had a look through previous threads and cant find anything on my problem, i have a clio 182 55plate and recently purchased an aftermarket stereo for it. i bought the fascia and everything else i need to fit it. The fascia wont sit the slot where the stereo came out? just keeps popping out. i bought it from halfords and im sure its the right one for the year. can someone just help me out if you can?

There should be a metal cage that you fit in the slot first, and then the stereo slides into that.
They don’t always supply one with new car audio units but you might need one.
You can buy specific ones depending on the make of stereo, but this is a universal one.

yeah the one i got to replace the standard one came with that but it just rattles around the hole left by the old? normally just pay for someone to fit it but i thought id have a go at this one myself and so far not going great haha.
