Clio 182 Front Splitter

  Renault Clio 182
This is my first post in the forum,

Owned my Clio 182FF since January last year, was in mint condition until about 3 weeks ago and since then it seems my luck has run out.
1st someone reversed into the back of me and has damaged the rear bumper.
2nd someone clipped my nearside mirror outside my house and cracked the outer casing.

Both of these I can get repaired and am not too worried about. Unfortunately the 3rd thing was completely my fault and I am struggling to sort it ouy. I caught the front splitter coming off the drive and have lost part of it. I was hoping somebody could help me in terms of finding somewhere I can buy a new one. I have searched ebay and found a Skoda Fabia splitter that can apparently be retro fitted to a Clio.

So far have had no luck with Renault parts etc.

Cheers

Go with the Skoda splitter and some self tapping screws. Use a drill to create some guide holes in the splitter/bumper then screw it in. Cut the excess off the ends with a knife.

Will look like this:

Renault is excessively expensive. Skoda option is what I fitted to my wifes RB 182 and it looks good

Yeah you will find that nearly every reply to this thread will tell you to get a skoda splitter. As they are so cheap and they actually look very good!

Thanks for the replies, managed to salvage the original and looks good as new :) good to know though that if I'm not careful and have another little scrape I can find a replacement easily enough. Hopefully it won't happen again though

Yeh that's the clearance onto my drive. Didn't think she'd get on but just about does.

That's also clearly going to come off

LOL.

Winter, lower temps, reduced tyre pressure, smaller wheel diameter, CRUNCH.

But seriously. That's got to be less than 10mm clearance, and there is about 5mm of useable tread on a new tyre. I.e. total difference in diameter is 10mm, i.e. crunch.

Infact really, f*** that. You probably can't even tap the brakes in the slightest on approach as a few mm of dive will send the splitter into the curb.

I know! I'm going to raise it up a bit but luckily for me I've got a second drive which clears far easier. This has now become 'my drive'.
