Is there a fix for the front wiper ball joint? Rather than buying a new linkage?

Has that not simply popped off?

Mine did it once when we had a day of extreme cold. Went to de-ice my windscreen the following morning - heard a small clunk and the passenger side wiper blade simply didn't move.

Pretty sure it was that section that you show that had detached itself. Get a bit of grease on there, and press it back on - that should work fine.

When mine was knackered and worn I had to get a 2nd hand replacement. The ball just kept popping out.

Ball end looks too worn to simply pop it back on.

Used linkages including motor can be had for £50 on ebay.

Mine just kept popping out. I don't know if one of those clips would have worked or not?
