Clio 182 gear Selector bush

Hey guys recently fitted a scenic shifter into my 182 track car and changed the bush at the same time. First session out at donington last weekend the bush popped out. Luckily the tray caught the bush but not the circlip. Anyway another Circlip sourced and all fitted back in out we went for the rest of the day no problems. Cars been sat on the drive a few days now and go to move it last night and its popped out again ? my Question is am I not getting the circlip seated right? Or is the scenic shifter causing it some problems? Thanks Josh

Give the circlip a good tap in using a small socket the same size as the circlip and a hammer

Need to make sure the groove the circlip fits in is clean of any crap.

Once in you need to give the bush a tap with a hammer and extension bar/small socket to make sure it's fully in.

I sanded my last one down a bit in order to get the circlip to fit into the grove.

The Bush can sometimes be a bit tight to get it all the way in. Use a punch on the circlip to make sure it's seated fully, will only need a tap.
