Clio 182 Replica

I was just wondering what would be the best model to work on to make a standard clio look like a 182? for example clio dynamique, expression etc. because i am looking to buy a new clio and make it look like a 182 for now just till im 21, by this time my insurance will be cheap and i will get the full engine conversion from KTEC.

Won't matter.

Buy a 182 though or one pre done as the cost of conversions is huge and it still stands out a conversion with the small brakes and drums.

i want one but cant get the insurance..well dont want to waste money!

tbh, does it really make that much of a difference in which model he buys? He will be needing to get the whole kit, inc spolier and then the interior etc!

I'd go for the Dynam as its got the best seats, ive got authentique and tehy are s**t!

I would start out with a clio without a sunroof (if thats possible) tbh, as that's the biggest giveaway when people do replicas.

I was out shopping with my mum once when I saw a really nice flame red 172 - it looked good till my mun goes 'look at the sunroof' once she spotted that I noticed a few other bits that weren't right either.

def dynamique. That car on ebay is my friend jaynes and hers is a dynamique, and its a 182 rep...but the seats are the same as a 182 cup i think, so except the drums and the sunroof you cant tell really that its a 1.4. Its a mint car in flesh. But yeah id recommend dynamique!

Not being funny but replicas give the cars bad names as some t**t in his vtr will try it on and leave you behind then go around saying 182's are slow!!

You can get a 172 for cheaper than that and still have a little left over for the extra on the insurance, I'd look for a quote if I was you because although some insurance companies will take the pi*s out of you but you might just be pleasently suprised with another quote (you need to be spending a few hours on the internet though and especialy on the sites that check lots of different insurance companies for the cheapest quote)

Take your time to begin with if you do though because there a bit quick for your experience otherwise you might bin it and you wont be able to get insured on another one for a while then

We're not all tw*ts who race everywhere, a person in a 1*2 replica knows their not in a 1*2 so wont even take on a bigger car.

Have you enquired about the insurance costs for making a replica? I'd imagine premium wold go up
