Renault Clio 2
Hi everyone,
I just finished a major job replacing the heater core on my Clio, which as you know, requires tearing down pretty much the entire dashboard and cabin.
Now I’ve ended up with a persistent airbag light, and I’m trying tofigure out the best way to start troubleshooting this.
I scanned the car with Renolink, and the fault codes point towards therear seat belt pretensioners. You can see the codes in the attachedimage:
I highly suspect I’ve left a wire unplugged somewhere, but I justcan't find the matching connector for it.
On the passenger side near the door/footwell area, there is a looseblack and yellow connector (shown in the picture) that I can't find amatch for. The wire doesn't reach very far, maybe about 20cm, so roughly to the glovebox area. On the other hand, it looks like it might come from the airbag module inside a larger wiring loom.
Additionally, right by the airbag module, there is an identical yellow and black connector, but I can't find a matching plug for that one either. Is there supposed to be a wire connected to it? I was wondering if a wire should run from there up along the side of the heater core housing, but if so, I have no idea where I could have misplaced it. Or could this be a completely different issue? I strongly assume everything is related to this loose wire...
Any help or insight would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

I scanned the car with Renolink, and the fault codes point towards therear seat belt pretensioners. You can see the codes in the attachedimage:
- 9016 – Enrouleur pyro arrière côté passager (Rear passenger side pyrotechnic pretensioner)
- 9015 – Enrouleur pyro arrière côté conducteur (Rear driver side pyrotechnic pretensioner)
- Both codes show “Circuit ouvert” (Open circuit).
- The fault is both present and active (DTC présent = 1).
I highly suspect I’ve left a wire unplugged somewhere, but I justcan't find the matching connector for it.
